As the full moon shines bright for Mid‑Autumn and osmanthus fragrance fills the air, DJN Optronics held the Blooming Moonlit Night · Fan‑Painting Mid‑Autumn dried‑flower round‑fan DIY event on September 23. Designed to promote fine traditional Chinese culture, enrich employees’ cultural life and convey the company’s festive care, the activity brought colleagues together. Using flowers as ink and fans as paper, everyone enjoyed an elegant Chinese‑style Mid‑Autumn get‑together.

Chinese‑style festive atmosphere filled the venue. At the opening of the event, the Corporate Administration & Communications team introduced the cultural origins of the round fan, also known as the “reunion fan”. It carries beautiful wishes for togetherness and happiness, perfectly matching the Mid‑Autumn spirit of “reunion under the full moon”. They then walked participants through the production steps and composition tips for dried‑flower round fans, and displayed a range of exquisite finished samples. Key operational points were demonstrated step‑by‑step, covering flower selection, layout arrangement and adhesive fixing.

Accompanied by soft traditional Chinese music, the hands‑on DIY session officially kicked off. Participants received blank round fans, assorted dried flowers, preserved foliage, pearl ornaments and craft tools, and set about creating their own designs. Dried materials such as gypsophila, eucalyptus, roses and osmanthus were laid out for selection. Staff carefully conceived their layouts, picked floral elements with tweezers, and combined different materials creatively. Some favoured simple, elegant styles, using just a few leaves and blossoms to evoke the mood of moonlit nights; others added tassels and pearl embellishments, embedding heartfelt wishes onto the fan surface. Many participants also wrote warm short notes beside their fans, recording expectations for life and best wishes for the journey alongside DJN. Throughout the session, colleagues exchanged ideas and shared inspiration amid laughter.
